Biographical Sketch

Mu Gu got his B. S. (in Physici) in 1982 and Ph. D (in Physics) in 1988 at Fudan University. After graduation, he took the position as assistant professor in Institute of Radio-immunology, Tongji University. In the fall of 1990, he joined the faculty of the Department of Physics in Tongji University as a lecturer, where he was promoted to associate professor in 1992 and full professor in 1996.Gu Mu’s main interest lies in the research of scintillation materials, such as BaF2, PbWO4, CuI crystals and Gd2O 3:Eu 3+, GdTaO4:Eu 3+films & etc.. He has so far released more than 100 refereed journal publications on Appl. Phys. Lett ., Phys. Rev. B,, and Nucl. Phys. A . and held 3 Chinese patents in scintillation materials. He is currently the associate editor of Physics and Engineering(China) ; and member of the editorial board of Physics Bulletin(China).
