Biographical Sketch

Peng Zhao got his M. S. (in Organic Chem.) in 2005 and Ph. D. (in Biomaterials) in 2008 at Tongji University. During his Ph.D. study, Zhao participated in some national and provincial key research programs, including National Science Fund, Key Technologies R&D Program of Ministry of Science and Technology of the P.R. of China, Key Basic Research Foundation for Development of Science and Technology of Shanghai, P.R. of China and so on. He also conducted several researches in biodegradable materials, medical macromolecule materials and tissue engineering scaffold materials. He participated in “Sino-France Ph.D. Institute Cooperation Program” sponsored by China Scholarship Council in 2007, during which he joined the research team of professor Gero Decher in C.N.R.S.-INSTITUT CHARLES SADRON, Strasbourg France. He has fabricated series of self-assemble bio-functional thin films with collagen. In the fall of 2008, Peng Zhao joined the faculty of the Institute for Advanced Materials & Nano Biomedicine at Tongji University. His current research is on biomedicine to pioneer some novel nano biodegradable target drug carrier.
