Biographical Sketch
Yilong Wang got his B.S in polymer science and engineering at Qingdao University of Science & Technology in 1998. In the fall of 2003, he joined Professor Hongchen Gu's group to pursue his Ph.D at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From 2007.9 to 2008.9, as a jointly supervised graduate student, he studied in Professor Younan Xia's group at University of Washington in Seattle, USA., and his research interest lay in shape-controlled synthesis of silver and gold nanocrystals. His research interest lies in the shape-controlled synthesis of inorganic/polymer composite nanoparticles via heterophase polymerization in dispersed media (emulsion, dispersion and mini-emulsion polymerizations), and surface functionalization for biomedical applications. Recently, his group especially focused in design and syntheses of multifunctional architectures for biomedical and water treatment applications. Wang has published nearly 20 papers as the first or corresponding author in the journals such as Advanced Materials, Chemical Communications, Langmuir, International Journal of Nanomedicine, Sensors & Actuators: B. Chemical, Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochem. Eng. Aspects, PLoS One, Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, etc. He has applied for 9 patents of invention and 6 of them has been authorized.
